Fitness

In the modern-day rat race, while striving to achieve financial success, or just plain trying to keep up with the darn Joneses (Who the heck are the Joneses anyway?), we have literally run ourselves ragged.  We spend long hours at the office, eat fast food and junk food, or skip meals altogether.  We also lack daily physical exercise, sunshine, and adequate sleep.  All of these detrimental lifestyle behaviors are negatively affecting our health.

When one thinks of going to the mountains during the winter, skiing is usually the main reason. But there are lots of other things to do as well.

Triathlon Swim
Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
Say the word "Triathlon" and most people get an image of the grueling Ironman Triathlon; 2.4 mile open water swim, 112 miles on the bike, and a 26.2 mile run.  There are shorter, more manageable lengths of this three sports in one competition.
spinning
Thursday, February 11th, 2010
The idea of spinning, or indoor cycling, was invented in the 1980s by athlete Jonathan Goldman, who later trademarked the activity. The exercise is pretty self-explanatory: you pedal your heart out on a stationary bike. Even though you aren’t physically going anywhere, you can at least be confident that you are making progress in improving your physique.

Nia
Thursday, February 4th, 2010
Some people are born to dance. They have the grace, rhythm and physique to delight the observer. I am not one of those people. Returning me to my seat after a dance at a sales and marketing meeting, Scott, one of my employees suggested I'd do better to watch in the future. When the instructor at a yoga retreat announced a Nia dance class, I planned to follow Scott's advice and watch. What a mistake that would have been.
