Day 1 - May 10 - Fly from U.S. to Milan

Overnight flight to Milan, Italy.

Day 2 - May 11 - Alba, Italy

Arrive at Milan's Malpensa airport early morning.   We will start our journey from the Malpensa airport - with departure by van at 9am.  Drive to the town of Alba in the Piedmont region of Italy.  Lunch at a local restaurant.  Explore Alba - shopping.  Group dinner at a fabulous restaurant.

Day 3 - May 12 - Alba, Italy

Morning - explore around Alba - visit a local market

Cooking class in the afternoon.

Day 4 - May 13 - Barolo

Hike from Sinio to Serralunga, winery visit along the way.  Lunch in Serralunga.  Afternoon in Barolo.  Visit Sandrone winery.

Return to Alba for evening on your own.

Day 5 - May 14 - Barbaresco

Cellar at Pio Cesare Winery

Truffle exchange and visit to Pio Cesare winery in the morning.  Lunch in Barbaresco.

Visit enoteca and winery in Barbaresco.

Group dinner at restaurant.

Day 6 - May 15 - Alba to Cinque Terre

Depart Alba for drive to Cinque Terre.  Visit markets along the way (lunch on your own).

Arrive in Cinque Terre.  Sunset boat cruise

Day 7 - May 16 - Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre Walking Path

Explore the Cinque Terre region.

Dinner on own (or light dinner in rooms)

Day 8 - May 17 - Hiking in the Cinque Terre

Hike the famous trails of the Cinque Terre.

Group dinner.

Day 9 - May 18 - Verona

Depart Cinque Terre, travel by van to the city of Verona

Afternoon walking tour of Verona

The oldest bridge on the Adige River which supposedly dates back to the 1st century A.D., and represents the entire history of Verona

Day 10 - May 19 - Verona

Visit the wine region that produces Amarone and Volipocella,

Tasting, vineyard walk, and lunch at the winery

Accommodations:  Accademia

Day 11 - May 20 - Verona

Depart Verona, travel by van to the city of Milan

Visit the Duomo and afternoon open for shopping and exploring Milan.

Final Dinner

Day 12 - May 21 - Return Flight

Depart Milan - Linate airport  (11:30am) flight departure.

Meals:  Breakfast

Summary: This trip is being led by Good News Girlz founders; Karla Barber, Judy Dedmon and Tamara Mattison.  Local guides/translators will be used for portions of the trip.  The trip is limited to 8 participants.
