like it
It was 6:30 in the morning. I had just landed at Miami International Airport after flying all night, and was looking for a cup of good coffee to wake me up. As I turned the corner, a glassed in exhibit space caught my attention. Written on the glass were the words: "What do you wear that makes you feel powerful?"

Thoughts of coffee fled as I stood and read the stories collected over a seven-year period by Tiffany Ludwig and Renee Piechocki.  The artists, who call themselves Two Girls Working, interviewed more than 600 women in 15 states. Ten of these women are featured in the exhibit I saw at MIA.

Women young and older answer the question about feeling powerful. Their answers are varied and fascinating. Visit the website to learn more about the project and to send your own answer to the artists. And read their book, Trappings: Stories of Women, Power and Clothing.

Two Girls Working gave me something wonderful to wake up to and I love it.
