Gaudí's Passion façade

One day in Barcelona. There's only one thing to do: see all the Gaudí works we can. We chose to use the hop-on, hop-off bus tour for transportation. It took us to the sights we wanted to visit and gave us an overview of a city we'd never seen. The best tip of the day came from a woman at our hotel: buy tickets to the Sagrada Familia, Gaudí's fabulous cathedral online before you go. The lines for tickets stretched down the block and we were able to stroll right in. We abandoned the bus after a while-the open topped bus got very old and it was time to get a few steps in. We walked over six miles today, and we're pretty sure that at least one mile was in the cathedral.

The Sagrada Familia cathedral, incomplete when Gaudí died in 1926, is still unfinished. When complete in 2030, there will be 18 towers.
